The Transporter TV Series has been stopped in motion.
The action-adventure series, which airs on TNT in the US, has been cancelled after two seasons and will not return for Season 3, writer Frank Spotnitz revealed.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Spotnitz put the cancellation of Transporter: The Series down to “bad timing”:
“I don’t think it’s going to come back, sadly. It did really well in Canada, but I think in France it was shown immediately after the Charlie Hebdo shootings – I don’t think anybody was watching drama, so it was bad timing unfortunately.”
However, Spotnitz did say that he would love to resurrect Transporter for Season 3, should the opportunity arise in the future:
“Everything, I do, I have to love it – I can’t fake it! So yeah, I would.”
RIP.

Chung Kim says
The series was enjoyable and had potential.
Cinemax should have opted to air the series in the US.
Perhaps Netflix or another online distribution platform may consider funding it for a third season?
I hate it when series end on a cliff hanger.

It’s filmed overseas. Like original La femme nikita TNT only picks up fees to air it, they don’t produce it. Anyone know if another network would pick up fees to air? Unless they stopped producing the show in Europe then it’s still up for grabs stateside as to who can air it.
lynn glick says
Great show, why is it being cancelled.
Bolaji says
TNT, why should you bring out a show that can’t finish. And at the end of season two, you put us all in suspense. That is to bad. Please another network should air this show…
